A hot tub can enhance communication between family members as they spend time together, free of distractions and devices. Quality family time is a great way to reconnect after a hectic day.
Building your new deck around the hot tub
Whether you have an existing hot tub in your yard, or want to install a new one, a new deck can be custom designed to fit no matter what size or shape. Building the deck around your tub offers not only a safe space to enter and exit, but helps make it a big feature in your yard.
The deck here had a brand new hot tub installed in the back corner underneath the shade of some trees. This meant that we could uniquely tailor the deck to work best with the surrounding features. Large rocks behind the tub made for a great back drop for the upcoming water feature install.
Help accentuate your tub with the right design choices
There are many ways to emphasise the features you want in your back yard and choosing the right decking colour is priority one. Choosing a colour that doesn’t overpower your hot tub is easy with a wide variety of colour options to choose from.
The hot tub is covered with neutral tones and a hint of warm undertones in the wood grain look, choosing a similar colour of deck was key to help blend the deck and hot tub into one unit.
The final decision to use Azek’s Dark Hickory for the main deck, and Coast Line for the picture framing. Adding a different colour picture frame is a great way to help the deck stand out from its surroundings.
This dark and light grey compliment each other very well and still match the tones of the hot tub. Everything comes together atop a white fascia surrounding the deck and defining the area around the stairs.
Surrounding your hot tub with the right deck will make this the most popular entertaining area when guests come over, and the perfect place for the family to unwind and spend some quality time together.
